The Department of Linguistics is seeking a team-orientedindividual who is an experienced liaison with strong communication andinterpersonal skills. This individualwill also have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as theability to self-direct, multitask, remain organized and adhere to deadlines.
This position is responsible for working closely with theFaculty Graduate Director of Graduate Studies in managing the Linguistics Graduate program, starting from the application process and, admissions, and including completionof their degreerequirements and graduation. This position also provides direct support to theDepartment Administrator with assistance in procurement, travel arrangements, coursescheduling, time entry, website updates and organizing events.

Conditions of Employment- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred QualificationsAt least one year of experience with the following:
Administration of the UNM Graduate Student admissions process
Coordinating with the Office of Graduate Studies with regard to policies and procedures for graduate students
Creating and maintaining student records
Organizing events and travel arrangements
Using MyReports
Being a UNM PCard holder
Using LoboMart and ChromeRiver
Building course schedules
Updating websites
