At AKABA LLC, our dynamic team helps you develop your skills as a behavioral therapist so you can make a positive and lasting impact on young lives.
The position pays starts at $20-23/hour with a multitude of opportunities to learn and grow!
These entry-level and mid-level roles best fit an organized professional who has previous experience working with children and experience working with individuals with disabilities. We work in the homes, communities, and in the AKABA Center to target a diversity of socially significant learning opportunities.
Flexible scheduling and 1:1 case matching make this a perfect opportunity for students, teachers, and direct support professionals who would like to sharpen their behavioral skill sets while engaging in a dynamic learning experience!
Hours are primarily weekdays and (during the school year) after school (between 2:30-8 p.m.). Scheduling is flexible and based on your particular client; some morning times may also be available.
Job Type: Part-time.
Salary: $20-23 per hour to start (includes training time)

We offer ongoing training and supervision to equip you in the field.

Qualifications for a Behavior Tech / ABA Therapist:
  • Enjoys working with children!!
  • Able to work 10-20 hours per week
  • Must have reliable transportation as some clients require transport to our center and/or into community settings
  • Must be timely and organized
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to communicate effectively

Key Responsibilities of a Behavior Tech / ABA Therapist:
  • Work cooperatively under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
  • Working with families for effective collaboration on client
  • Data collection
  • Implementing individualized behavior support plans
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs
  • Submitting all required paperwork promptly
  • Attending monthly case review meetings with their direct supervisor

Required education:
  • High school or equivalent

Required license or certification:
  • Valid Driver's License
