Job Summary
We are currently seeking part time A La Carte Servers . The A La Carte Server provides table service to members/guests by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that the members/guests have a pleasant dining experience. The A La Carte Server is an hourly, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Starting Wage: $15+ per hour
- Part Time Hours: <30 hours per week
- Variable Hours Schedule: Tuesday - Sunday
A La Carte Server duties may include:
- Greeting members/guests as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Distributing menus and presenting the daily specials.
- Answering questions regarding the menu.
- Taking food and beverage orders and delivering them to the kitchen.
- Delivering food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to members/guests.
- Ensuring that food is prepared correctly and to the member/guests satisfaction; returning incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
- Collecting plates and clearing the table as members/guests finish their meals.
- Assisting with other duties such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work proficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 16 years old (at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
- Previous experience as a server preferred.
- Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
