The pay for this position is $30.00 per hour with a $5.00 overnight differential.

Summary
Responsible for supervision of Suicide Prevention Center Spanish bilingual crisis counselors during their shift, ensuring compliance with program standards, contracts, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Primary Duties
- Provides general supervision on crisis calls providing support as needed; conducts lethality assessments of calls and assist Spanish bilingual crisis counselors in determining same.
- Monitors crisis calls; provides consultation to Spanish bilingual crisis counselors and ensures compliance with policies; initiates debriefing session with Spanish bilingual crisis counselors after they have taken a call.
- Monitors counselors' productivity and ready times.
- Monitors and maintains shift call answer rates as well as data completion rates within counselors' call reports.
- Assists Spanish bilingual crisis counselors with locating the most appropriate resources for callers.
- Assists in identifying Spanish bilingual crisis counselor training needs relating to suicide prevention and crisis response; recommends development and implementation of training sessions.
- Maintains caller contact data; completes mandated reports and other relevant forms.
- Attends routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the Suicide Prevention Center and/or Didi Hirsch.
- Takes crisis calls during high volume times or as needed to meet program needs.
- Provides input for performance evaluations for Spanish bilingual crisis counselors.
- Participates in Spanish bilingual media events and interviews as requested.
- Participates in SPC training activities.
- Participates in Spanish outreach events including community presentations and resource tables.
Requirements
- Must be bi-lingual English/Spanish.
- Support the values and mission of Didi Hirsch as related to employment.
- Know and comply with Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, DMH policies and documentation guidelines, and other state, federal regulations relating to emergency mental health services.
- Demonstrate current knowledge of all job specific skills including supervision, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, telephone crisis line procedures, multicultural and socio-economic issues.
- Present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Efficiently use the personal computer to include: word processing, spreadsheets, and other crisis line related software.
- Have basic supervisory skills sufficient to oversee Spanish bilingual crisis counselors on the crisis lines, enforcing policies and procedures while maintaining a supportive environment.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, interact well with others, and avoid personal conflicts.
- Demonstrate commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
- Adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Must be 18 years or older.
