The Work You Will Do:
The incumbent of this position performs highly responsible analysis of the Reemployment Assistance Benefit Payment function. This work audits, investigates and evaluates work product and process performance for compliance with state and federal Reemployment Assistance benefit payments accuracy standards.

Pay:
$40,351.04-$46,682.12
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Evaluate work performed by staff of Florida Commerce relative to the Reemployment Assistance program to determine whether the program's performance meets federal and state law, policy and procedural requirements.
Determines the validity of benefits payments made, whether proper or improper and the accuracy of benefits denied through intense claim review, audit and investigation, which includes but is not limited to payroll audits, conducting comprehensive interviews with claimants, employers and other relevant parties, re-adjudication of nonmonetary issues for compliance with state Reemployment Assistance law and policy.
Reviews and analyzes department claim records for content validity. Reviews claimant responses on interview questionnaires to detect potential eligibility issues and takes appropriate corrective action.
Summarize and code audit and investigation findings for data entry into Federal State Menu System. Prepare case folder of each audit and investigation work papers to include a Summary of Investigation and data collection instrument. Note discrepancies or inconsistencies for corrective action. Complete a corrective action memorandum to provide assistance with UI error rate improvement.
Pinpoint areas where improvement and refresher training will be of benefit to the program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of reemployment assistance law, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendation, solve problems, document workflow, and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies, and procedures relating to operational management analysis activities.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum:
  • Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.
  • Travel may be required to travel.

Preferred:
  • Preference will be given to applicants with at least two years of professional experience in a reemployment assistance or workforce program.
  • Preference will be given for Adjudication experience.
