Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs clerical and supportive clinical functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Physical Therapy Department.
- Performs routine care and cleaning of equipment.
- Prepares patients for treatment and/or assists patients in preparation for departure at the end of treatment.
- Transports patients, records, equipment and supplies.
- Performs some treatment procedures, such as follow-up of functional and ambulation activities, routine-specific exercises and application of superficial heat or cold under direct supervision of a P.T. or P.T.A.
- Assist nursing with mobilization program. Transfers and ambulation with patients identified as being at risk for function decline.
- Performs general office procedures.

Education/Experience Required:
- Hospital will train.
- Must be energetic and patient oriented.
- Ability to read and write English at 12th grade level.

Physical/Environmental Requirements
This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
