Pay Rate: $17.00
Essential Functions:
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
- Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, change tooling, setup, or work piece placement according to required machining sequences.
- Lift work pieces to machines manually.
- Check to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.
- Set up and operate computer-controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on metal work pieces.
- Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications in order to detect malfunctions.
- Maintain machines and remove and replace broken or worn machine tools, using hand tools.
- Stack or load finished items, or place items on conveyor systems.
- Clean machines, tooling, and parts using solvents/solutions and rags.
- Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
- Read dials and meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels.
- Set controls, start, and monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products.
- Maintain established 5-S standards and communicate problems through Leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must have High school diploma or recipient of GED
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Prior experience in manufacturing preferred
- Must have STRONG mathematical and computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background and employment verification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens
