Peoplelink Staffing Solutions has partnered with a prominent client in the south end of Grand Haven. They seek individuals with MIG WELDING experience for their* setup and operation of welding operations to produce parts per quality specifications, and to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.*_
Full-time MIG Welder
- 3rd Shift
- 7 pm-5 am
Monday-Thursday
- Pay rate: $18-$20/hr depending on experience.
- Required resume to show work history
AWeld test is required, must have your own safety equipment
MIG Welding Primary Duties:
- 1. Build parts to customer specification with minimal supervision from raw to finished
- 2. Interpret weld and machining specifications to meet part requirements
- 3. Perform weld MIG/TIG
- 4. Run first piece and verify against print for accuracy and quality
- 5. Qualify part to specification using various measurements methods/tools to ensure acceptable part for customer
- 6. Build low volume/high mix product to increase speed to market
- 7. Any other duties requested by supervisor.
MIG Welding Miscellaneous Duties:
- 1. Housekeeping of personal workspace using 5S.
MIG Welding Safety Requirements:
- 1. Wear personal protective equipment as required.
MIG Welding Qualifications:
- 1. Ability to read blueprints.
- 2. Basic knowledge of quality measurement devices.
- 3. Basic math knowledge.
- 4. Ability to follow verbal and written procedures.
- 5. Willingness to learn with ability to say focused on detail and safety.
- 6. Welding experience (mig/tig) and ability to pass internal weld test.
