GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and trouble shoot to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Mechanical Troubleshooting
- Monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshooting electric and pneumatic pumps.
- General facility upkeep and routine repairs.
- Repair and rebuilding Pneumatic/Hydraulic pumps.
- Changing of mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps.
- Repair and rebuilding of gear pumps.
- Equipment calibrations.
- Shaft alignment for pumps.
- Flow and pressure transmitters.
- PLC based control system.
- Industrial electrical work up to 480 volts.
- 120v and 480v electrical including motor starts and VFD's.
- Ability to work on projects and work orders with minimum supervision.
- Basic computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system).
- And any duties and responsibility assigned for the department.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance required.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Routine lifting (50+ lbs.) required.
- Journey Level millwright state certification (Preferred)
- Efficient time-management skills.
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills Microsoft Office software.
- Must communicate effectively in English. With verbal, written and reading comprehension. skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse community.
- Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.
- Must be able to work overtime if needed.
- Must be able to work on-call rotation after hours and on weekends.
