POSITION: 3rdSHIFT LOADING DOCK LOAD PLANNER
HOURS: 3RD shift-flexible as needed; Saturday & Sunday hours as needed/required
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Request for prints on orders to ship
- Review product availability and discuss with production as needed
- Go through shipping schedule/order management to confirm orders for printing
- Take pictures of all loads including railcars and export loads including verification of staging areas being clean with all boxes accounted for on the load
- Assist with USDA Export inspection of product by walking with Inspector showing loads being staged prior to loading.
- Dispatch loads in and out of dock doors through radio and or phone
- Provide information on product and load status to carriers, shag service and production management
- Manage trailer inventory (assigning, changing etc.)
- Check product rotation on what's been scanned in/out for accuracy
- Plan future dated load activity and assign accordingly
- Run out-by-time reports for corporate and product management
- Log trailers behind plant for startup (slab list)
- Assist LOADING DOCK in other needs for remainder of time
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer skills; knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Excel required
- 2+ of customer service or load planning experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task at a very fast pace
- Proficient with 10 key calculator
- Self-motivation
- Knowledge of our industry preferred but not required
- Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
- Team player, good attendance record
