Job Title: Furnace Operator (3rd shift)
- 3rd shift hours are Sunday-Thursday 10PM- 6:30AM.
- Benefits available on Day 1.
- Starting pay for this position is $18.50 an hour + $1.50 shift premium.

Job Summary:
The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) in Hodges, SC has an opening for a Furnace Operator on 3rd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for charge make-up and delivery of iron. You will also set, adjust, and operate controls of one or more induction or arc furnaces to melt metal for casting purposes.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Operates control station to monitor and control melting station
- Analyzes control signals
- Controls melting operations
- Detects deviations and initiates corrective action
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 months of manufacturing or other operations experience
- Experience in iron pouring, ladle repair, furnace charging and furnace operation
- Must learn or understand basic gray/ductile iron charge make-up to produce iron that meets required specifications
Top candidates will also have:
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or other operations experience
- Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience
- Math skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and decision-making
