JOB SUMMARY:
Designated for employees who are training and/or who have met the necessary
requirements to progress to a Winding Team Technician B (grade 7).
The following are considered work centers within the Winding department:
a. * Insulation Preparation
b. Coil Wind
c. # Small Hand Wind
d. # Large Hand Wind
e. # **Automatic Stator Wind
f. *Final Form/Trim/Sleeve
g. Connect
h. Braze
i. Lash
j. # Surge Test (STA Test)
k. # *Repair
l. Material Mover
m. Upender
NOTE: Skilled work centers are highlighted above with a # sign.
Proficiency measurement: Work centers are measured by percentage of the
department average performed. An operator must maintain an 85%
average of this percentage for each Work Center for a 4 week period.
* Work Centers are measured by operator maintaining job tasks line
demand for a 4 week period.
** Each Automatic Winding Machine is a Non-Skilled Work Center. When
an employee qualifies for 3 or more Automatic Winding Machines, then it is
a Skilled Work Center.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform in two (2) Winding department
work centers within an eighteen (18) month period.
2. Ability to receive and understand verbal and written technical instructions and
respond in English.
3. The ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders,
routings and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats.
4. Function safely in an industrial manufacturing setting where factory physical
conditions exist, including shift work as required.
5. Attendance and punctuality to company standards.
6. Use the overhead crane/hoist.
7. Use appropriate gauges and measuring devices.
8. Have the knowledge of basic mathematics needed to measure in fractions of
an inch.
9. Meet quality and productivity requirements.
10.Follow lock out/tag out and other safety procedures.
SHIFT:
3rd Shift / 11pm - 7am
Pay Details: $17.50 per hour
