Lead DOE 3K/4K Teacher: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom. Create an nurturing, educationally stimulating environment that fosters imagination and a love for learning.
Position Qualifications:
- Master in early childhood and TEACH Certification, birth-2nd.
Responsibilities:
- Create weekly lesson plans based on the DOE preferred curriculum (ex, Creative Curriculum) and incorporates activities that are developmentally and educationally appropriate and meets the needs of children from diverse backgrounds.
- Create weekly newsletters to promote the school-home connection.
- Manages the classroom space in such a way as to make learning possible.
- Participates with a team (i.e., Teacher Assistant, Site Director, Education Coordinator) on an ongoing basis in planning activities and adding the necessary parental contribution.
- Evaluates progress on an ongoing basis and implements the necessary modifications.

You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to help students achieve their educational goals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, a strong understanding of early childhood development, and a passion for education.
Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Assess student progress through various methods such as tests, projects, and observations
- Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
