Position: 3/12 Registered Nurse | NICU | Nights
Schedule: Three days a week, consisting of 12-hour shifts.
Shifts: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Weekends and Holidays: Rotation required.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate in the delivery of patient care, following the Nursing Process, and adhering to all relevant State and Federal standards.
Provide guidance and oversight to non-RN personnel, serving as a valuable resource for the unit's ancillary staff.
Assume leadership roles, such as charge nurse or clinical coordinator, as needed, overseeing unit operations.
Act as a mentor and preceptor to newly hired staff and students upon request.
Ensure strict compliance with Stamford Hospital's policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
Administer safe and therapeutic care, upholding the values embedded in our hospital's culture.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
Successful graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
Strongly preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Essential: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Obligation to maintain a minimum of 6 contact hours annually.
