The role…
You will provide a full range of manufacturing support at our Urbana, OH facility. Duties include but are not limited to: General machine set-up and troubleshooting, utilizing safe operating procedures, and collaboration with team members throughout the facility.
Current and Future Schedule:
- This department is moving to a 3-2-2 schedule upon successful completion of training and adequate staffing; we are projected to move to this schedule in 2024.
- Current schedule: 11:00pm to 7:00am, running 5 to 6 days a week on a three shift schedule (1st shift, 2nd Shift, and 3rd Shift)
- Future schedule: 7:00pm to 7:00am, 3-2-2 schedule you will work on average 14-17 days per month. Candidates on 7:00 pm to 7:00 am schedule receive an shift differential
- Starting rate $21.20 (including shift differential) with opportunities to advance after 90 days
How you’ll make an impact…
Set-up machine(s) per customer/order specification (make-to-order products)
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine controls and components
- Communicate with other departments to request raw materials and supplies to eliminate the need for downtime
- Document and explain all production data according to procedures
- Observe the operation of the machine to detect and correct machine malfunctions
- Perform quality inspection
- Note: Other duties may be required
What do you bring…
- High School Diploma or GED required, 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Comprehend and apply basic reading, arithmetic, and geometry (testing required)
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
- Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision in a team environment
- Physical requirements – lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing between 50 - 100 lbs, depending on the machine and work in a not climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train
