2Nd Shift Yard Jockey/Warehouse Associate

Are you an experienced yard jockey/Shipping Associate and looking for a job where your determination and experience can make a big impact? Look no further! Villari Foods is currently seeking a Yard Jockey to join our team in Warsaw, North Carolina.

At Villari Brothers, the Yard Jockey is responsible for providing support for our facility’s trailer movements, assisting the preparation of trailers for shipping, cleaning trailers, fueling of trailers, and temperature monitoring the status of loaded trailers. 

Job duties:

• Operating the yard truck to include:
  • Placing requested trailers in doors.
  • Removing trailers from requested doors.
  • Fueling reefer trailers.
  • Cleaning reefer trailers, prior to loading.
• Operates the yard truck safely and efficiently in the movement of trailers between the yards and docks for loading and unloading.
• Completes all related paperwork and maintains daily checks and organization of the yard.
• Performs regular equipment checks, completes related documentation, and notifies the supervisor of unsafe conditions.

To qualify for this job, you must have:

• High school Diploma, GED,
• A favorable backcheck and Motor vehicle review.  
• Ability to remain calm & focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to safely operate a yard truck.
• Ability to climb up and down from the yard truck multiple times per day.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the use of a plant assigned radio.
