Job Description
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises but does not directly manage a section of the Task team.
Position Summary
The Team Leader will delegate to a team of general labor and/or equipment operators to complete daily tasks. A successful Team Lead will train, motivate, and coach the team on processes and procedures of loading, shipping, plant maintenance, and production.
Key Responsibilities
• Assign tasks to their assigned team daily
• Maintain quality standards and productivity goals
• Ensure employees follow safety requirements and operations processes
• Supervise, delegate, and participate with a team in an outdoor work environment
• Teach, train, motivate, and coach both year-round and seasonal staff on the processes and procedures
• Identify, nurture, and coach future leaders
• Ensure all company rules and policies are adhered to on the team
• Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of fundamental math • Ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
• Willing to work in various areas of the daily operation including but not limited to loading, shipping, field, production
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual in Spanish
Job Setting & Physical Demands
This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. There are occasional needs to work in confined spaces. Position requires long-term ability for standing, walking, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. There are occasional needs to climb step stools and step ladders and work on scaffolding. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the table lifter and get certified and operate on internal vehicles. Employee must have the ability to life 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
