Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. They manufacture and process metal fibers into conductive materials. They also provide materials to the aerospace and other demanding industries with products designed to meet the most technical design and application environments. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting the production line, helping the engineer in quality control processes, and improving manufacturing efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Run production line coating polymer filaments
- Assist in manufacturing line set-up, calibration, and maintenance
- Assist in production planning and scheduling
- Assist engineer in quality control processes, measurement, and output
- Advise on practical efficiency in manufacturing operations
- Maintain a safe and clean production environment
- Collect data and make reports as required
- Assist in research and development processes and operations
- Advise on practical manufacturing efficiency in investigated techniques
- Assist in building the manufacturing line
- Give support to engineers with regard to accomplishing tasks while referring to uncommon technical issues.
- Responsible for leading electrical maintenance and reliability activities on manufacturing process equipment (PLCs, Service Panels, servo motor, - Power supplies, blowers, tanks, pumps, motors), utility equipment (compressors), and plant mobile equipment.
- Outstanding ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, plant drawings, and work orders.
- Performs routine to difficult plumbing duties, inspecting, installing, repairing and replacing pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures, unclogging,
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and tools in a clean, secure, and appropriate working condition.
- Engage in diverse skill activities, production lines, and other building components.
- Manage projects using maintenance principles and techniques, such as system calibration or troubleshooting.
- Discuss and solve complex problems with production departments, sub-contractors, suppliers.
- Work with diverse machines and equipment, such as hand and power tools and drill presses saws, in carrying out maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintain production line equipment in optimal condition for production.
- Assure that all preventative maintenance is completed on time and implement the yearly and 3-year maintenance plan
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift 25 pounds, occasionally over 100
- Ability to bend, climb ladders, reach overhead, and stand for 8 to 10 hours
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in light chemical manufacturing operations and/or continuous-process chemical, plating or textiles preferred.
- Ability to use computers and Microsoft Office
- Detailed-oriented
- Organized - ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and work in a team environment with limited supervision
- High school graduate, technical college preferred

- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to high heat and chemicals.
