Job Title:2nd Shift Production Superintendent
Location: Spring Hill, TN
Industry: automotive manufacturing, assembly
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay: $85-95k
Reports to: Production/Plant Manager
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for safety, quality, cost and delivery of assigned shift
· Responsible to lead team and promote teamwork to achieve objectives
· Closely monitor quality levels and root cause, correcting any non-conformances
· Maintain processes per the process control plans and ensure associates are following the standards
· Supervise production associates
· Consistently apply policies and procedures
· Develop, Implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans
· Continually work to understand the customer’s requirements in terms of quality and delivery
· Provide feedback to Production Manager about any quality or production concerns
· Develop all associates into cross-trained, high performing team members
· Control Training Plan completion
· Report directly to the Plant Production Manager and oversee / control all 2nd Shift Production operations
· Responsible for the total plant manufacturing operations during the night shift.
· Able to represent the company to our customers
· Proven leadership skills to handle a diverse array of issues (including quality, quantity, and HR matters)
· Lean/Standardize Work implementation experience and execution of those standards
· Ensure compliance by all off shift team to company standards and requirements
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ automotive industry supervisory experience (manual and robotic assembly departments)
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and understands Theory of Constraints
• P&L responsibility experience
• Quality Mindset with the ability to prioritize scrap reduction initiative
• Experience with labor management and people development
Preferred but not Required:
• JIS (Just-in-Sequence) experience
• Injection molding knowledge
• Understanding of PLCs, ability to troubleshoot
