Role Overview and Responsibilities

New Schedule!  We are currently hiring for new hours 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday with an additional shift premium. 

 

Summary: Test technicians will ensure that electronic Printed Circuit Boards are operational.  Capable of performing testing, analysis, troubleshooting, rework and repair of electronic Circuit Boards, as necessary.

 

Essential Duties andResponsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Read and interpret schematics, drawing and prints related to assigned electronic Circuit Boards
  • Operate various functional test sets, ICT (in-circuit test) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) systems
  • Complete test equipment setup
  • Test, troubleshoot, rework and repair assigned assemblies
  • Complete applicable documentation for required test reports
  • Follow test procedures and recognize electronic values, such as volts, amps, ohms, farads
  • Properly complete documentation to determine the disposition of test failures
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of analog and digital test equipment
  • Identify and operate electronic test equipment, to include (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Use good communication skills with co-workers, including good interactive skills
  • Exhibit effective communication with leadership and engineering
  • Handle unsupervised tasks and prioritize workload to effectively to meet delivery schedules
  • Use proper Circuit Board and material handling practices to prevent damage
  • Certify in IPC and J-STD-001 industry standard workmanship specifications for soldered electronic assemblies
  • Use computer programs and Microsoft office / windows-based software
  • Maintain a well-organized workspace

 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Team Member must be able to maintain confidentiality and have good judgment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Prerequisites:  Electronics vocational or certificate training program and a minimum 2 years of experience; OR, 2 years of proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic products and successful completion of Test Technician Test with passing score of 80% or above

 

Training requirements: Team members will be required to attend various training classes to ensure adequate knowledge of company specific information, customer, regulatory, and other requirements as determined by job process, Standard operating procedures or other elements as required.

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job. 

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to otherwise move objects

 

Constantly reach, lift, grasp, talk, hear 90-100% of the time; frequently stand, walk, finger, feel, and do repetitive motion 60-90% of the time; Occasionally balance, push, and pull 30-60%

Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

 

Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Team Member is required to wear safety glasses on a constant basis 90-100% of the time.

 

The Team Member is required to work overtime on a constant basis.
