2Nd Shift Plant Supervisor

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a highly valued role driving our growth and production capacity. This role is responsible for oversight of the entire production second shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage production of our second shift including oversight of the team members operating laser cutting machines, oxy-fuel cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, saws, welding cells, paint, and parts cleaning.
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
• Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve production stoppages.
• Verify first-middle-last part checks, and sample workpieces, adhere to quality production standards and tolerance requirements.
• Perform physical functions of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs. and maneuver as needed.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, process integrity and regulations including keeping work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Verify that part number, revision level, operation sequence, materials and program and are all correct and consistent.
• Run jobs in an efficient, organized and safe manner while following the work instructions on the print/nest and/or work order.
• Maintain the quality of the workflow as required to ensure that the product meets or exceeds the customer specifications.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years hands-on experience working in a steel processing and/or fabrication facility.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting laser, oxy-fuel, plasma, and saw cutting machines.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
• Previous supervision or management experience
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift
• Evening shift: 4:00pm – 2:30am
• Monday to Friday, sometimes Saturday.

Expected hours: 40-56 per week
