MACHINE OPERATOR Tasks & Duties (What You’ll Do)

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

• Carry out de-gating, trimming, sorting, assembly and jigging operations etc on or off the machine as required.

• Check the quality of finished product and keep the Afternoon Lead informed of all rejects, possible rejects and problems with the tooling or machine.

• Ensure that it is understood how to identify a reject and what action is required if this occurs. Read the Quality Sheets for the job and if in doubt, ask.

• Assist with weighing and packing of parts when required.

• Move rejects to the non-conforming area correctly labelled when requested by the Afternoon Lead.

• Re-grind materials when required.

• Relieve other Operators for meal breaks etc when required.

• Assist with quarterly stock takes.

• DO NOT to make adjustments to machinery unless authorized by the Afternoon Lead

• Assist with any other duties as may be requested by the Afternoon Lead.

Work, Health and Safety.

This position requires you to take action to:

• Assess and minimize risks and implement improvements.

• Ensure proper use of PPE for yourself and all staff under your control.

• Take care to protect your own and others health and safety at work.

• Never exceed personal lifting capabilities.

• Always use good housekeeping practices.

• Report all injuries and hazards immediately.

Material Handler Shift Info:

• 2nd Shift: 02:00pm to 12:30am

• Monday to Thursday

• OT as required

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Able to pass a background check.

• Able to work in the US.

• Must have your own personal transportation.

• Must be reliable & punctual.
