Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives
You will do this by:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrates strong technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with machines, repair, and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to read and understand instructions and apply job requirements to ensure quality
- Ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively
- Adept with basic mathematics
- Ability to keep detailed records regarding processes, procedures, inventory, etc.
- Ability to analyze difficult situations, quickly solve problems, and comply with production standards
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and in individual situations
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery in a safe manner
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (10 hour shifts)
- Ability to work quickly and swiftly with large, heavy machinery and products
- Demonstrated electrical, mechanical, CAD, and PLC experience is desired
- Proficient in troubleshooting problems to rapidly obtain successful outcomes
- Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal and computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite desired)
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions and among a variety of levels within an organization, on individual and group projects
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and able to balance multiple tasks
- Ability to wear appropriate, required PPE
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Sit, stand, squat, bend
- Reach overhead with one or both arms
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)

Shift Hours: Typically 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday (Hours may vary on workload)
