Our company is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bolingbrook, IL on second shift working Monday Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and systems. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality security solutions that protect our customers' essential values.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance of all production equipment.
- Set up equipment in coordination with the production shift supervisor, aligning with the production schedule.
- Ensure compliance with safety and employee conduct rules, promoting a clean and hazard-free workspace.
- Participate in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with ISO standards.
- Maintain adequate spare parts inventory levels.
- Foster continuous improvement concepts within the team.
- Train colleagues as necessary.
- Report all unresolved issues to the manager.
Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical machinery.
- Profound understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulics.
- Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to repair and assemble equipment.
- Proficiency in computer-based machine software navigation and interpretation.
- Strong emphasis on safety compliance, maintaining a safety-first approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC, AC/DC, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
- Previous 2-4 years of vocational and/or maintenance technician experience.
- Technical degree from an accredited institution is a plus
- Independent, proactive working style, adept at managing multiple projects in a high-demand environment.
- Comfortable with precision hand movements when operating machinery.
- Experience operating hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers.
- Ability to handle hazardous materials safely.
- Normal color perception and eyesight correctable to 20/20.
- Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
