2Nd Shift Machine Operator Inspector/Rewinder

Night shift- 4:00PM to Midnight
Monday through Friday

Job Summary
Responsible for the inspection and finishing of printed products to ensure their compliance with quality standards. Completes work instructions according to customer job specifications, and therefore must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret production information from job ticket. Reports non-compliant printing defects to the supervisor. Cleans and helps to make minor repairs and adjustments to machines and maintains them in good working order. Performs related work as required.
Responsibilities and Duties

• Inspect printed products for defects; report defective goods to the manager on duty.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional operating environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal appropriately with priorities consistently.
• Assist routine cleaning and maintenance to rewind equipment according to maintenance schedule and record all activities in maintenance log.
• Maintain equipment in efficient working order, make simple adjustments and diagnose problems as appropriate, notifying supervisor of malfunctions and problems as necessary.
• Complete all work assigned to timeframes set forth by supervisor, notify supervisor if all work cannot be completed as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience as a production Machine Operator preferred.
• Basic computer skills, experience with MRP software preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Read a ruler and use basic math.
• Work independently with general supervision
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Requirements
Education:

• Highschool Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Packaging Machine Operators: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
