2Nd Shift Line Packer

Overall Responsibility

Pete and Gerry's Organics is currently in search of full-time and part-time Production Line Packers. This role is responsible for placing packaged eggs into final shipping cases. These team members conduct the final inspection and ensure the product is being packaged into it's proper case. This role involves shift work and therefore attendance and punctuality are imperative to success.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

· On time punctuality and good attendance

· Staging of packing materials including boxes, trays, pallets, or labels

· Label boxes per customer specifications

· Palletize product with proper closure per customer specifications

· Pack boxes per customer specifications

· Monitor date codes per USDA

· Move line to line as the flow of the blending changes

· Keep work area clean, tidy, and free of any trip hazards

· Segregate materials and maintain exterior wall spacing per guidelines

· Utilize downtime with additional labeling and housekeeping

· Comply with all food safety procedures, regulation requirements, and process efficiencies

· Report any food safety issues to any Supervisor or Manger

· Follow all workplace safety procedures per safety training

· Monitor and record egg weight checks and date code checks as required

· Assist co-workers as needed - teamwork

· Clean-up work area at end of day

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Experience in a processing environment preferred

Essential Skills:

· Attention to detail

· Ability to life a minimum of 50 pounds

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Good communication skills

· Strong work ethic

· Organized
