Job Title:Converting Operator – Lead
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday from 2:45pm-11:00pm
Location: Tempe, AZ
GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB
Responsible for coordinating all Converting Operators to operate safely & efficiently, while ensuring product adheres to our quality policy. If all operators are running smoothly, you’re expected to run production as well to maximize department throughput. Provide necessary coverage when supervisor is out of office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check/ post in Microsoft Teams as needed.
• Assign Converting Operators and helpers to converting machines and cells throughout shift.
• Assign tasks to maximize Converting Operator and helper productivity, machine moves, quality hold area
• Coordinate break times to keep converting machines running.
• Ensure all Converting Operators are staying on task to maximize department throughput.
• Conduct coaching conversations and hold team members accountable to Pregis work procedures and policies
• Notify manager and/or supervisor if any operators aren’t adhering to Pregis policies.
• Communicates Converting Operator supply levels to material handlers as needed.
• Conduct Daily Shift Huddles as necessary
• Conduct Quality Audits Daily
• Ensure a smooth handoff with incoming and outgoing shift.
• Verify all team members are following all steps listed in CV-I-0110 Converting Operator Expectations
• Follow start of shift plan from Roaming Lead
• Verify all data is being entered properly into production tablets and paperwork
• Elevate to roaming lead that are bigger in nature, such as scheduling concerns, manpower adjustments, material issues, scrap issues, etc.
• All other tasks as directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous leadership experience required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing work experience.
