3pm - 11pm
$14/hr base rate + $0.50 shift differential
Job Description:
The Floater position is a production employee role that will be trained in multiple departments to help out based on current production needs. We are looking for someone with manufacturing experience and PM experience is preferred. This employee will help out in molding, sintering, sorting, tumbling, and shipping depending on departmental needs. This position reports to the 2nd Shift Supervisor.
Job Duties:
Molding
- Putting material in hoppers
- Handling / placing product on appropriate skids / trays as described in control plans
- Visually inspect parts for defects (excessive burrs, chips, etc…)
- Inspect parts as necessary per control plans
- Stop equipment immediately in the event that non-conforming product is being produced
- Notify supervisor of any problems
- Complete appropriate hold tags as necessary
- Place product in hold area if necessary
- Complete daily production reports as required
Sintering
- Handling / placing product on and off of furnace belts
- Visually inspect parts for defects (excessive burrs, chips, etc…)
- Stop equipment immediately in the event that non-conforming product is being produced
- Notify supervisor of any problems
- Complete appropriate hold tags as necessary
- Place product in hold area if necessary
- Complete daily production reports as required
Tumbling
- Putting material in tumblers
- Removing material from tumblers
- Monitor PH levels in wet tumblers
- Handling/placing product on appropriate skids / trays as described in control plans
- Visually inspect parts for defects (excessive burrs, chips, etc…)
- Inspect parts as necessary per control plans
- Stop equipment immediately in the event that non-conforming product is being produced
- Notify supervisor of any problems
- Complete appropriate hold tags as necessary
- Place product in hold area if necessary
- Complete daily production reports as required
Shipping (Packing)
- Pack parts per control plan
- Ship parts per schedule
- Oil impregnate, oil dip, rust ban dip parts as necessary and per control plan
- Submit packaging changes to Quality via process change form
- Keep work area neat and organized

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Employee must be able to lift 50lbs.
