Job description

Bring your heart to CVS Health. Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. This purpose guides our commitment to deliver enhanced human-centric health care for a rapidly changing world. Anchored in our brand - with heart at its center - our purpose sends a personal message that how we deliver our services is just as important as what we deliver.
Our Heart At Work Behaviors™ support this purpose. We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable.
Position Summary
Health is everything. At CVS Health, we are committed to increasing patient access to care, lowering costs, and improving the quality of care. Every day, we're helping people on their path to better health-from advising patients on their prescriptions to helping them manage their chronic and specialty conditions. Because we're present in so many moments, big and small, we have an active, supportive role in shaping the future of health care. If you are looking to advance your career as a Pharmacy Technician, the Technician Team Leader role provides the opportunity to lead others in an engaging, customer-facing, retail health care setting. In this role, you will serve as a role model, mentor, guide, and leader for the Tech team, while supporting the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations. In this role, you will have a mix of office and workflow hours in a busy retail pharmacy. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with your Tech team in workflow across all workstations, modeling best-in-class customer service, and teaching by example. Through effective communication and coaching, you will guide your team to provide empathetic patient care while maintaining the highest operational standards. You will be responsible for building your team, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new Techs, and conducting regular skills validations for the entire Tech team. In addition, you will partner with your Pharmacy Manager to provide consistent and intentional operational oversight, including scheduling outcomes, inventory outcomes, service outcomes, and patient care outcomes through effective goal setting, communication, and performance management. To prepare you for success in this role, you will enroll in a paid, 50-hour leadership training course, to be completed in 4-6 weeks. In addition, you will be enrolled in a 6-month ongoing development program to further build your leadership skills. The Tech Team Leader role will provide you with valuable training and experience that may lead to additional career growth within the store or field leadership, and potentially within the greater CVS Health Enterprise. All Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health are required to complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program as well as satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to their State's Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Pharmacy Technician duties will be restricted by the manager at first until the Pharmacy Technician completes all necessary requirements.
