Job description

Basic Purpose and Scope:
The Mixer I measures, loads and blends ingredients into a blending equipment to create finished goods

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always
  2. Load ingredients into blender and use pumping and metering systems to produce detailed and complex high-value recipes. Utilize advanced batch automation computer systems as required - 60%
  3. Changeover/Wash out machinery between jobs - 20%
  4. Utilize data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability, utilize scanner to use oldest ingredients first (FIFO) - 10%
  5. Requisition supplies and maintain production records - 10%
  6. Ensure correct entries into factory software - Ongoing
  7. Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements - Ongoing
  8. Adhere to strict allergen guidelines and detailed wash requirements - Ongoing
  9. Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing
  10. Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeeping throughout the facility and grounds - Ongoing
  11. Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary - Ongoing
  12. Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements - Ongoing
  13. Other activities and duties as assigned - Ongoing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:
  1. Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred
  2. Certifications: None
  3. Experience: 0 - 3 years
  4. Must be able to utilize computer-based batch automation technology
  5. Must be detail orientated and must maintain accurate documentation
  6. Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision
  7. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language
  8. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  9. Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
