As an Afterschool Grant Program Instructor, you are responsible for creating a caring and safe environment for our students who are in the 21st Century Grant program. The Grant is federally funded and the YMCA partners with the Salem Public School system to provide academic learning and after-school enrichment. You will instruct the children in one of the following activities: Floor Hockey, Coding, and Cooking. We are looking for instructors for all three activities, please make sure you select what activity you are interested in and experienced in.
To thrive in this position you have experience supporting the supervision of youth at play or in a structured program at an elementary school. You are creative and can engage children in activities that inspire interest and maintain their attention. You are empathetic and compassionate, supportive of all our participant's unique needs.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with youth or children preferred
- Pay is based on experience

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Physically and mentally acts appropriately and immediately to unexpected circumstances
