Deere & Company is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Chicago, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Design, architect and deliver enterprise-grade, distributed, mission-critical, microservice based applications (5 yrs); Maintain infrastructure through technologies like Amazon web services (AWS), EC2, S3, Elasticsearch, SQS, SNS, lambda, Elastic Container Service, Azure Virtual Machines (AVM), Azure Container Service (AKS), Azure Queue Storage and WebSphere, Linux and Java Virtual Machine (5 yrs); Implement DB search engines like Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Hibernate Search (3 yrs); Develop applications using DB2, Oracle, MySQL, SAP HANA, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra as backend databases (5 yrs); Experience using DevOps, SRE and Security best practices as part of development (4 yrs); Experience in owning the operation and infrastructure of applications (4 yrs); Ability to coach others with devops and extreme Programming practices (2 yrs). Up to 20% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. 10% domestic travel required.
