This internship is slated to begin in late May 2024 – late August 2024. This is a hybrid internship with the expectation of a minimum of two in-office days per week. This is a paid internship at $25.00 per hour. This intern will work 35 hours per week.

Internship Overview:
FHLBank Boston is offering a paid internship as part of our Information Security team. Information Security professionals develop and deliver solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications, and data by establishing policies, practices, and tools that prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification or disruption to the Bank’s network and daily operations.
The intern role will report to the Information Security Governance Manager and will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to support the Bank’s Vulnerability Management and Baseline Security Configuration efforts. Additional responsibilities can include triaging security events reported by end users, physical and active directory access management, and supporting the Bank’s security awareness training program.
In addition to the primary responsibilities within the Information Security team, this role will also offer the opportunity to cross-train with the Bank’s User Support team. User Support professionals provide technical support and guidance to resolve computer hardware and software problems for the Bank’s end users, communicating with users via phone, chat, email, and/or a support ticketing system to assess the scope of a problem and determine what, if any, resolution steps users have performed.
At the end of this internship, the intern will have gained hands-on experience in the fields of Information Security and User Support in a financial services setting. This experience is often the first step in a rewarding career as an Information Security professional.

Qualifications
- Progress towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, technology, or related field or a certification in cybersecurity or information technology
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other related software applications
- Strong analytical skills and a high degree of attention to detail must be demonstrated
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills are required for success
This person should be curious, eager to learn, passionate about security and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
