2024 Risk Consulting Summer Internship Program
Location: Warren, NJ - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Join the Everest 2024 Summer Internship Program! This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the industry's leading experts and experienced professionals. Throughout the Program, you can expect to build upon the academic foundations you have established at school and apply your learning to real world scenarios. The Program will run for approximately 10 weeks beginning June 2024. Everest does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite permanent US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration.

Your Impact & Opportunity
Everest Insurance Company, a member of Everest Group, Ltd has an opportunity available for an Intern in the Risk Consulting / Loss Prevention area. Our hope is that the intern could become a full-time member of the team as a Large Account Manager upon their graduation from college.
The Everest Risk Consulting Intern will work with the Risk Consulting Directors in helping our Underwriters evaluate exposure and our policy holders prevent losses. The intern will assist with the evaluation of losses and loss trends in developing strategies for preventions losses. This internship will generally focus on large Work Comp, Risk Management and Commercial Casualty accounts. This internship will work closely with Claims and Client Services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review and analyze recent large losses
- Complete loss run reports and analyze results
- Work with ERC Directors on the delivery and execution of Loss Prevention Strategies with our customers
- Interact with Underwriting and Claims teams to support book profitability
- Engage the Everest Service Provider Network in delivering services to our customers
- Update supporting materials and protocols
What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
- You are a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university, preferably majoring in Engineering or a related field
- Be proficient in office software, specifically the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint); SharePoint development experience desired
- Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
- Be highly attentive to detail
- Utilize effective business communication skills
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and be attentive to deadlines
