Job description

The Project Mosaic Program offers a five month paid, part-time internship held in select JPMorgan Chase branches. Project Mosaic is designed to attract candidates who are interested in early exposure to financial services careers and committed to the advancement of individuals from underrepresented groups in this industry. Project Mosaic is seeking candidates, including, without limitation, LGBTQ+ individuals, who are interested in exploring career opportunities at JPMorgan Chase. We are looking for dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to help us grow and position our businesses for the future. All individuals who are interested in the Internship Program, regardless of background, are welcome to apply.

As an Associate Banker in JPMorgan Chase, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional customer experience to our clients and potential customers. Acting as the "Face of Chase", you will interact with customers and assist them with all their banking needs. Our Associate Bankers work a rotating schedule, which may include working one weekend day.

Unlike a traditional bank teller role, our Associate Bankers contribute significantly to the success of the branch by delivering exceptional customer experiences, fostering long-lasting relationships, and introducing customers to our licensed bankers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage clients as they enter the branch by welcoming them and making them feel appreciated, including managing lobby traffic, checking clients into the waiting queue and scheduling/cancelling client meetings.

  • Help clients with everyday transactions such as reordering a debit card, setting up a direct deposit or helping update their address while maintaining established control standards.

  • Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while complying with all policies, procedures and regulatory and banking requirements.

  • Educate clients on the usage of technology self-service options such as leveraging the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to complete their banking needs, whenever, wherever and however they want.

  • Assist clients and the branch team by helping with new account openings when needed.

  • Engage and partner with team members and other lines of business to offer the most appropriate products and tools to help clients meet their financial goals.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Participants must be 18 years or older

  • Must be able to work up to 30 hours a week

  • Ability to make personal connections, engage customers, and remain courteous and professional in a team environment

  • Professional, thorough, and organized with follow-up skills

  • Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and time management

  • Ability to quickly and accurately learn products, services, and procedures

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Cash handling experience preferred

  • Your ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately, in addition to working across teams to deliver solutions, will be critical for your success.

  • Showcasing our portfolio of \"One Chase\" products to clients and potential clients will also be a core aspect of your role.

If currently enrolled in college, we will only be accepting Juniors and Seniors.
