ABOUT HALLMARK’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
We need sharp, energetic people to help us create, engineer, market, and deliver our products worldwide. Hallmark offers Summer Internships for students pursuing degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Graphic Design, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Illustration, Communications, Creative Writing, Engineering, Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science and more! Hallmark’s internship program is held annually, starting late May and ending in early August, and provides the valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate creative environment. In addition, you will gain exposure to Hallmark leadership, learn more about our products and initiatives, connect with employees and interns from other disciplines, and enjoy what life is like in the Kansas City metro area.  

POSITION OVERVIEW
Hallmark’s eCommerce Image Studio provides image content for Hallmark.com and other online retailers to support Hallmark’s rapidly growing eCommerce presence and digital acceleration strategies. This team is responsible for bringing thousands of products to life across a variety of retailers. We strive to put the best representation of Hallmark’s products in front of the consumer.

As a Digital 3D Photorealistic Artist Intern at Hallmark, you’ll create detailed, photorealistic rendered images of products for Hallmark’s eCommerce Image Studio to support Hallmark’s retail needs. You will create 3D objects using various modeling techniques, build materials and textures, and create realistic lighting for products and environment. You’ll also be expected to create and design rich, realistic product environments combining objects that complement product. Your role will bridge the gap between consumers and their devices to showcase exactly what consumers can expect when purchasing from Hallmark’s wide range of products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a visual creative field with a graduation date of December 2024 or May/June 2025. You must state your targeted graduation date (month and year) on your resume, or you will not be considered.
  • Experience using a digital 3D modeling program (Blender,  Maya, ZBrush, Modo, Cinema 4D, etc.)
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create and render photorealistic images
  • Prior internship or work experience in a professional creative role
  • Self-starter, curious, and willing to learn
  • Highly collaborative with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of technology, consumer, digital retail, and design trends
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Portfolio images that demonstrate any additional creative and/or technical skills (interactive design skills, web design skills, concept sketching skills, etc.). 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS 
Our 2024 Internship opportunities will hybrid. Office days will be determined based on the on the needs of the project and the team. Internship program dates are Monday May 20, 2024–Friday, August 9, 2024 (12 weeks). We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program!
