PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Performance Analysis
Responsible for applying appropriate statistical measurements to student profile and performance data; reviewing school and state data to develop comparison trends; designing and developing reports as requested; and collecting, organizing, and interpreting the district’s student data to find meaningful and actionable insights.
Success Coaching
Responsible for providing leadership in the school through the implementation of a comprehensive, data-driven guidance counseling and Success Coaching programs aligned with the district’s mission, vision, and strategic direction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Data Performance Analysis
● Recommends processes, procedures, and other tools to efficiently track and maintain student data.
● Collects, organizes, and interprets student data to assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in finding meaningful and actionable insights.
● Helps ensure and maintain the validity and integrity of student and district data.
● Develops and maintains historical student and school data files to monitor and track performance.
● Prepares reports from local, state, and national assessment data as it relates to student performance.
● Mentors, advises, and encourages students as needed and appropriate.
Position Title:Student Success Coach / Advisor
Reports to: Superintendent
Success Coaching
· Designs and implements a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program for all students to address barriers to student learning and to close the achievement and opportunity gaps.
· Delivers programs that promote students’ development of essential mindsets and behavior standards including, but not limited to, learning skills, social skills, self-management skills, and college/career readiness skills.
· Reviews and disaggregates student achievement, attendance, and behavior data to identify and implement interventions with current knowledge of promotion, retention, and graduation requirements.
· Uses the skills of leadership, advocacy and collaboration to create systemic change to improve the academic, social/emotional, and post-graduate success of all students.
· Mentors, advises, and encourages students as needed and appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, mathematics, education, or related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of public or private intermediate/ secondary school experience.
· Ability to communicate, both in writing and orally, technical information, including statistical data, in a way that is understandable to people without technical training.
Preferred:
· Demonstrated understanding of and experience with using academic, enrollment, and historical data to impact instruction and school systems thinking and planning.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate and assess students academically and socially.
· Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a highly functioning team.
