Position: 2023 Summer School Teacher
Overview
Implement the curriculum, working cooperatively with their grade-level team. Teachers are responsible for managing behavior and maintaining a positive classroom climate. Candidates must must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and a teaching degree.
Responsibilities
Job Duties include:
- Report to your designated area before school and during dismissal.
- Unless advised otherwise, your assigned classroom is your responsibility.
- Lead students and participate with hands-on activities, presentations and field trips.
- Monitor students to ensure compliance of summer school rules and to prevent accidents.
- Lesson planning and implementation.
- Classroom management.
- Communicate with peers and parents.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Participate in classroom field trips as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Hold or be eligible for Missouri Teaching Certificate or equivalent in home country
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills necessary for working in a multicultural environment
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom
Attendance
Your attendance is vital for the success of our program. Advise your building director of any known absences as soon as possible. Please try to give a minimum of a 12 hour notice if you will be unable to make your next scheduled work day.

- Be willing to provide information for background check clearance.
