Assist NARS SIU, Compliance/Legal departments with analyzing data, responding to immunity requests, vendor audits, and ensuring adjuster’s handling of time limit demands and pleading responses are timely and appropriate.

 

Work closely with the SIU Manager to track fraud trends and independently research new methods and technologies to further the company’s goals of fighting and detecting fraud. Work closely with the Compliance/Legal departments in reviewing and auditing NARS’ panel of law firms and communicating with panel law firms to obtain compliance related documentation.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data mine claim files for suspicious activity
  • Respond to Immunity requests received from Insurance and Law Enforcement
  • Communicate clearly and provide well written reports.
  • Help manage the annual fraud reporting process for carrier partners and state regulators.
  • Maintain tracking logs/calendars and reports relating to outstanding demands and answers.
  • Monitor, review and assess NARS’ e-mail boxes relating to lawsuits and demands to ensure that lawsuits and demands are properly logged, tracked and distributed to the appropriate file handlers.
  • Communicate with NARS’ adjusters to obtain updates on time limit demands and pleadings and ensure NARS’ claims system is updated appropriately.
  • Monitor upcoming trial dates and ensure NARS’ adjusters are aware of trial roundtable calls.
  • Communicate with panel counsel firms to obtain compliance related documentation and update NARS’ panel counsel software system accordingly.
  • Provide support for Legal-X legal billing including rate administration, firm registrations and new user setups.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information.
  • Provide needed support for Legal/SIU/Compliance on special projects.

 

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

 

Education / Licensing:

•             High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2-year degree or higher preferred.

•             Must have 2+ years of claims/SIU Experience

•             Preferred 5+ years of SIU Experience

•             Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional licensing.

 

Technical Skills:

•             Advanced level of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

•            Ability to work in claims handling software systems.

•              Ability to work in panel counsel software systems (i.e. PartnerSelect/Bottomline software)

•            Ability to use Microsoft Teams’ calendar and chat functions.

•             Advanced ability to work independently.

•             Advanced level of organization and time management skills.

•             Advanced level written and verbal communication skills.

•            Advanced level of communication with managers and colleagues.

•             Must be able to analyze claims data and explain and appropriately respond to auditors, clients,  

  and potential clients during presentations.

  •   Must be detail oriented.         

 

 

Abilities:

•             Willingness to work flexible hours.

•             Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.

•             Repeated use of keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screens from either a desktop or

laptop computer.

•             Requires long periods of sitting.

 •             Willingness to engage in verbal/phone communications with colleagues.
