Energetic, Enthusiastic Responsible Collaborative Reflective Dependable Flexible Encouraging Passionate Creative Efficacious Inquisitive Santa Monica Blvd. Community Charter School, an elementary charter school that serves under-resourced children in Hollywood, is currently seeking individuals that possess these qualities. General Functions: Responsible for planning and providing services to elementary students identified with exceptional needs. Present activities that are developmentally appropriate for the students and are specially designed to conform with the student's IEP; Monitor and coordinate assessment and reassessment procedures; Participation in IEP planning and provision of services to students with exceptional needs; Monitor student progress; Interact and consult with family members to build common goals for students identified with exceptional needs.

Santa Monica Boulevard Community Charter School is a public elementary school in Hollywood. We are not located in the city of Santa Monica. We are looking for exceptional teachers who are interested in working with a collaborative group of professional educators to increase student achievement and nurture lifelong learners. Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a Mild/Moderate credential. *We will require evidence of passage of CBEST and CSET or an equivalent test as well as evidence of COVID 19 Vaccination.

The candidate chosen for this position will demonstrate the ability to plan and prepare instruction, maintain a nurturing classroom environment, implement a strong standards based instructional program, and show evidence of continuing to grow as a professional educator.
