BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may incorporate both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.
What You'll Be Doing:
Under Direction of the Applications Manager, utilizes considerable technical knowledge of Software Development in order to design & perform systems analysis, recommend application solutions &/or tests, correct programs as related to testing & implementation & assist with documentation.
- Developing software applications (e.g., BWC websites) using Microsoft .Net Framework & related Software Development tools (e.g., Visual Studio [i.e. C# & VB.Net], Team Foundation Server.
- Performing analysis & design.
- Working with business personnel to identify & document system software requirements.
- Defining problems & developing potential solutions.
- Performing post-production support for business applications (e.g., routine maintenance, enhancements) & need to perform research to aid troubleshooting software production errors (e.g., production ticket rotation).
- Assisting in identifying alternate courses of action & review/evaluation of Software Development methodologies (e.g., Agile), documenting & supporting user acceptance testing.
- Assisting with development, implementation & monitoring of IT quality assurance standards & testing.

Qualifications
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:
- 48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in .NET Framework as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in .NET Framework as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in .NET Framework as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
