1St Shift Warehouse Worker

Objective: To work as a team member. Be able to work accurately and in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and write legibly and have basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read a tape measure, convert decimals and fractions
• Use ultrasonic micrometers, standard micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
• Machine Operation experience a plus
• Ability read material certifications.
• Understand customer specifications
• Use of material handling equipment
• Follow all Metals USA safety policies and procedures
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work as a team.

Metals USA is a Steel Service Center located in Germantown, WI. We are in search of candidates to fill our 1st Shift Warehouse positions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Pack orders off computer schedules or coming off machines to specifications
• Build skids to Specifications
• Time-constrained completion of individual tasks such as stocking of machines and the unloading and loading of trucks independently
• Follow loading and receiving inspections that may require individual problem-solving skills
• Interpret and anticipate material requirement needs at work centers
• Interact with non-Metals USA personnel in a professional manner
• Skilled use of material handling equipment such as cranes, forklifts and side loaders in situations requiring the care and safety of fellow employees and non-Metals USA employees
• Maintain safe inventory storage practices
• Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned by shift supervisor
