StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Job Description
The Material Handler performs a combination of product handling and lift truck operating duties to stack, transport, and store work-in-process and finished goods. This position is responsible for maintaining the unloading of all inbound freight, identifying, labeling, weighing, and placing material into racks/storage accordingly. This role will support the loading of outbound freight daily when necessary and will use a handheld device to perform daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established safety, health and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices
- Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check and report any equipment malfunctioning or damage
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Verify paperwork matches physical freight received
- Re-stack materials on new skids as needed for safe storage
- Maintain paperwork for inventory control
- Work hand in hand with the receiving clerk to manage all daily receiving activities
- Update computerized inventory data
- Operate stand-up lifts or sit-down forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Cross-train with department employees (shipping and receiving) to increase the knowledge, flexibility, and efficiency of the overall ITW team
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team
- All other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent along with 6+ months of experience involving use of stand-up lifts or sit-down forklift
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and possess communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime

- Safety toed with slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor
