Hours: 7am - 4pm
Summary/Objective: The Inventory Coordinator is primarily responsible for manually entering the chemical and/or mechanical properties as specified on the material certifications and verifying that it meets the systems checks. Also cycle counting all raw material and maintaining inventory integrity.
Essential Functions: The list of duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Examines articles for defects, proper identification & quantity.
- Records amount and weight of coils received.
- Weighs or counts coils to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Checks mill chemistry & gauge tolerance sheet. If acceptable, accesses “Mill Chemistry Update” for subcontractors not linked.
- Records factors causing goods to be returned. Follows the “Immediate Action Notice Generation” if material is nonconforming.
- Attaches identification tag and conveys materials from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
- Updates restocking operation. Visually inspects for identification, enters coil tag number in lot inventory and updates. Enters new tag number and applicable coil restock information into computer. Attaches new tag to coil.
- Compiles worksheets from customer specifications and forwards to inventory control.
- Enters coil information into the jobscope computer system.
- Completes paperwork for all supplier returns as directed from purchasing.
- Cycle count all raw material and maintains records of all counts.
Work Environment: The work environment is a manufacturing, shop floor environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed boots, etc) is required to be worn while on the shop floor.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk or sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Preferred Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) a plus but not requiredA minimum of a 10th grade educational level completed or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with office computer software required, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite software packages such as: Outlook, Word, and Excel
