Role Overview and Responsibilities

1st Shift Opportunity Available.  Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm.  

 

 

Summary: Ensures that final circuit boards are operational.

 

Essential Duties andResponsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • perform class 1 and 2 tests
  • set up some test sets
  • use some test equipment
  • complete applicable paperwork
  • complete shortage/overage sheets and able to determine the disposition of NCM per QP6/4-01 and QP11-10-01
  • identify work order number, assembly number, assembly revision
  • identify an ECR or pink change order when in folders, and knows to stop and determine required actions
  • use basic computer skills to start, select program and properly shut down a computer
  • use basic computer to finding stock locations, part availability, and "where used" inquiries
  • familiar with test area tally sheet and entry requirements
  • familiar with MSDS sheets, their location, and demonstrates proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials
  • locate manufacturing instructions and test procedures
  • perform proper set up and operation of the thermal transfer printers and can navigate the Easylabel label printing program
  • familiar with calibration label paths associated with Easylabel software
  • identify and operate basic electronic test equipment (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope)
  • identify and operate basic test equipment (o-scopes, more complex set ups)
  • properly install and remove ICs from sockets
  • follow a test procedure and recognizing electronic values, such as volts, amps, ohms, farads
  • follow requirements for 1st piece and in process inspections
  • complete a test failure tag and make test tally entry per (SOP12/1-02)
  • ensures that after initial testing all boards are be stamped, depaneled, etc. as stated in manufacturing instructions during downtime phase of subsequent assemblies
  • perform team member training per QP10/1-01 and applicable SOPS and test procedures
  • set up and operate BP programmer per (SOP 7/2-104)

 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

 

Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Team Member is considered certified at the experienced level because all items below have been verified at the good understanding level.

 

  • observes proper lifting techniques when handling test fixtures
  • requirements and properly follows procedures for handling and storing moisture sensitive devices (MSDs)
  • material handling techniques to avoid damage to assembly and components as well as to team members
  • component ID training
  • completed quality systems training
  • all safety and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements of the area
  • principles of ESD and uses ESD precautions in material handling
  • inventory control methods (i.e. shortages, NCM process, and understand of work order system)
  • completed IPC workmanship training
  • all material transactions within computer (inventory audit trails)
  • ECR database
  • ITAR restrictions when dealing with badges and ITAR related materials and documentation
  • the 6S system (Sort, Simplify, Sweep, Standardize, Self-Discipline, Safety) and adheres to and encourages others to comply with the principles
  • the Green Sheet program and our efforts to continuously improve
  • the company's mission statement, quality policy and performance metrics and understands their part in making them successful

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.  

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to otherwise move objects

 

Constantly reach, lift, grasp, talk, hear 90-100% of the time; frequently stand, walk, finger, feel, and do repetitive motion 60-90% of the time; Occasionally balance, push, and pull 30-60%

Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

 

Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in
