Contra Costa Country Club is a high end Country Club with an active golfing Membership and an amazing Robert Trent Jones Jr. redesign that re-opened in 2015. Our Members are very competitive and enjoy playing with the Professional Staff on a weekly basis. We have over 190 golfers with single digit handicaps and compete in local leagues with Professional presence.
Education/Experience: Level 2 PGA Program with 5 years experience
Duties:
Support the Head Golf Professional, and in their absence, supervise the day-to-day management of the daily operations of the Golf Shop. This supervisory position will also be responsible to gel the Golf Shop Associate team in a high activity, high end Country Club.
Essential Duties:
- Assist the Head Golf Professional in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Create the Golf Shop and review Players Services weekly schedules in conformity with the annual operating budget
- Manage Inventory, tee sheet applications, tournament application, POS system operation, and handicap system coordination
- Manage the calendar of daily activities i.e., lessons, clinics and other programming
- Facilitate all Club, Senior and Men’s Club events, including promotion, registration, day of coordination, scoring, reporting, record keeping and improvement plan implementation
- Supervise preparation for all Monday golf events
- Manage the Players Services team with Players Services Supervisor
- Coordinate merchandising the Golf Shop with the Area Retail Manager and assure Associates upkeep of shop responsibilities
- Conduct regular staff meetings with Associates
- Consistently review current procedures and update to improve member experience
- Teach lessons to the membership when possible and necessary
- Promote Golf Shop sales and become a staff member ambassador
- Play with the Membership in social and competitive situations
- Performs other duties as required
