Job Description
We are seeking a 1st and 2nd Shift Assistant Supervisor to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers.
The Line Lead will oversee day-to-day operations of their assigned line or area. The lead will provide direction to team members to ensure the safe and effective execution of scheduled production. He/she will serve as the team leader for the assigned line or area. This position will report to the designated production supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities:
- Be the Safety Champion for the Line or Area
- Lead Daily Line Start-up and Line Operations
- Complete all required documentation
- 1st Off Checklists
- Hour by Hour Boards
- Downtime Tracking
- HACCP/SQF
- Waste Tracking
- KPI
- SOP
- Communicate issues to the assigned supervisor
- Communicate issues to maintenance
- Be the liaison between line workers and supervisors
- Provide training to line workers
- Safety
- Quality
- Machine Operation
- Task
- Trouble Shoot problems on the line and develop and execute appropriate actions
- Be a problem solver – identify opportunities to improve and take actions and/or communicate ideas to supervision
- Identify personnel performance issues and engage the supervisor in addressing
- Participate as requested on various projects and/or Continuous Improvement Teams.

- Working knowledge of all Employee and Food Safety aspects of the line or area

- Be able to read and comprehend production related documentation (requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English)
