Skilled Set-up Milling Machinists 1st & 2nd SHIFT openings

The position:

We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Set-up Milling Machinist for (1st and 2nd SHIFT) to set-up different complex jobs in our shop utilizing FANUC operating systems. You will be setting up machining for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical 1st shift hours are 6:00am-4:30pm and 2nd SHIFT hours are 4:20pm-2:50am Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times.

Job duties:

-Set-up CNC machinery to specifications.

-Plan difficult set-ups.

-Perform complex set-ups for a series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to ensure close/exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

-Resolve problems and make suggestions for improvement.

-Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

-Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

The Right Person/What we need from you:

-Strong mechanical aptitude and machining skill set - skill assessment required

-Minimum of 5 years of Set-up experience in a similar environment is required.

-Broad knowledge of machining techniques with CNC machine tool operating procedures.

-Ability to apply recognized procedures where tolerances are close.

-Blueprint reading ability.

-Highly motivated and able to work independently.

-Team player with positive outlook.

-Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

-Able to read and write English preferred.

-Basic computer skills.
