Job Description:
The American Academy of Lymphatic and Wound Management is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Instructor for our Lymphedema Certification Course. This position is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to contribute to the education and training of healthcare practitioners in the field of lymphedema management.
Requirements:
- Must hold one of the following licenses: Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT),, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA).
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)
- Must have Lymphedema Experience
- Possess Association of North America Lymphology Association (LANA) certification.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in at least two different settings.
- Proficiency in measuring for custom compression garments and bandaging alternatives.
- Previous experience conducting continuing education or community education lectures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct continuing education classes for Lymphedema Certification.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations of proper hand techniques and hand placement in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD).
- Instruct bandaging techniques for both upper extremity and lower extremity bandaging.
- Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills, modifying schedules as needed.
- Utilize basic computer skills and operate audio/visual equipment.
- Lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods (at least 1 hour).
- Provide student evaluations at the end of each session.
- Demonstrate conflict management skills and provide appropriate feedback to students.
- Stay current on treatment trends in the lymphedema community.
- Engage in professional development to maintain and enhance proficiency.

Pay: $50.00 - $150.00 per hour
