Responsible for completing behavioral health screenings and assessments for patients. Conducts follow ups and provides documentation.
Responsibilities
- Performs crisis intervention for patients in urgent need of care.
- Conducts behavioral health assessments and recommends psychiatric hospitalizations, as needed.
- Writes petitions for involuntary treatment and creates documentation in EHR.
- Provides referrals for outpatient services.
- Collaborates with medical staff and Gila River Indian Community Police Department staff.
- Performs other job-related activities as requested.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field of study required, plus 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health field or a closely related field of study or Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field of study preferred, plus 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health field or a closely related field of study.
- Current and continuing BLS training and certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year crisis experience preferred.
- State of Arizona driver's license with no significant violations during the last 5 years.
- Current State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card required.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
